She Carries Me She Carries Me 
Jennifer Berezan’s vision was 100 percent successfully realized in this creation. What her vision is, I can only feel, not express in words. "She Carries Me" and "She Who Hears The Cries Of The World" are almost inseparable works. They are both spiritual calls back to the source that we all deeply know we came from. Through her music, her spirit and her creativity, she opens an avenue back to that source.
"She Who Hears The Cries Of The World" is a 22 minute 45 second journey into the holy tabernacle of the soul. The opening slow repetitive drum roll sets the mood for the meditative state one is beckoned into. Olympia Dukakis completes the transformation into an altered state by her wonderful haunting recital of the The Charge Of the Goddess. Some of the words, not in complete context follow:
I call up your soul,
For behold all acts of love and pleasure are my rituals.
Let there be beauty, strength, power, and compassion, honor and humility, mirth and reverence within you.
And you who seek to know me, know that your seeking and yearning will avail you not,
unless you know the mystery.
For if that which you seek, you find not within yourself, you will never find it without.
For behold I have been with you from the beginning,
and I am that which is obtained at the end of desire.
The music then integrates the truth that the words so gracefully try to convey, into a soothing healing mantra like cadence that permeates the remainder of this composition. This is a piece of art, that through the feelings you experience, you know that you have received the transmission the artist sent. No piece of art can be described through words, you must experience the art directly. This is a wonderful experience.
